Botanica 2018

Beth Jackson was employed by Brisbane City Council to curate and co-manage the inaugural Botanica -a major 10-day temporal public art event in the City Botanic Gardens as part of Festival 2018, Commonwealth Games. Beth worked with a small team to deliver the event through an invited EOI process and intensive commission and delivery phases. She acted as primary artist liaison throughout. The resulting commissions included digital projection (video, still and interactive), installation, sculpture, lighting, kinetic artwork, performance, participatory work, artworks for the mobile phone, and living garden design. Beth gave public tours throughout the festival and produced and presented a series of artist forums.
