Brisbane Botanic Garden Mount Coot-tha Children's Trail

Artfully was engaged by Brisbane City Council to develop an Artwork Brief with curatorial framework for the commissioning of a new sculptural artwork as part of the redesign of the Children's Trail in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mount Coot-tha. Artfully produced an artist shortlist of suitable artists skilled in stone carving and naturalism, and managed the three selected artists through a competitive concept phase. Silvio Apponyi's work 'Moggil -- Teacher' portrays a large-scale water dragon who represents a symbolic guide for the children's trail discovery experiences.
