Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre

Artfully was engaged by the City of Wyndham to scope, curate and manage an integrated public art commission and centrepiece for the Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre – an Aboriginal Community Centre and Integrated Family Centre in Wyndham Vale. Working closely with the project design team and the artist team, Beth Jackson curated and managed the entire commission including: Artwork Brief, artist selection process, a competitive concept design phase, design development, fabrication and installation.

The kinetic artwork, dhurrung dhurrung – heartbeat/pulse (Waddawurrung), was produced by a team led by Keerray Wurrong artist Vicki Couzens and is made up of several components including water feature, screens, soundscape, lighting and projection.
